What Do We Do Here?

Our Conroe Facility produces downhole products for drilling activities in North America. Our plant has high demand and is operating 24/7 to produce these products for our customers. To meet the demand for our products, we provide employees with an air-conditioned environment, highly organized and clean 300,000 SQ. ft. fabrication facility, new CNC Machines (Mazak, Mori Sieke, DMG Mori, Weiler, etc.), and a strong safety program designed to ensure our team goes home safe to their families after every shift.

What’s the Job Like?

The logistics coordinator position is a fast-paced career, focusing primarily on the shipment of drill bits and drill bit related items. This position is part of a strong team who prides themselves on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Essential Job Tasks:

• Communicates with department supervisors, upper management, sales and operations departments.
• All other reasonable tasks assigned with the goal of helping the team, operations, or the facility overall.
• Updates Warehouse Open Release Dashboard.
• Arrange transportation services to meet needs of customers and production schedules.
• Processes documentation for shipments (BOL’s) and coordinates with carriers for outbound shipment and pickup inquiries.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and accurate inventory transactions in support of providing service to both internal/external customers.
• Maintains daily shipping log, books trucks/carriers and processes packing lists according to order specifications.
• Maintain relationships and work closely with freight forwarders per NOV guidelines.
• Clean work areas as necessary to maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards.
• Coordinate shipments of products by all modes of transportation.
• Maintain NOV guidelines on safety, quality, and delivery.
• Leads day-to-day operational activities pertaining to the Logistics Department

Who’s Going to be Successful in this Job?

Candidate needs to be goal oriented with a strong attention to detail. International shipping as well as trade and customs knowledge is a must. Operate, maintain and drive a Forklift safely and in accordance with shop guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2 or more years of logistics experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• ERP Systems (JDE, Oracle, SAP, Visual etc.) preferred
• International Shipping Experience

Knowledge in MS Office preferred
