GENERAL SCOPE & SUMMARY
The Revenue Financial Analyst will be responsible for the reporting, analysis and forecasting of Alvaria’s growing SaaS business. You will be an integral member of the Finance team providing critical data and insight to the leadership team and throughout the organization. The ideal candidate must be proficient with modeling, excel savvy and excited about data.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ad hoc analysis as requested by management in support of business driven projects
- Reporting will include standardized and custom reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis from a variety of inputs (predominantly SalesForce and Netsuite) using multiple output methods (Excel, PowerBI, PPT, SalesForce, etc).
- Provide support and analysis in preparation of executive-level briefings
- Maintain SaaS key performance metrics, including net retention rates, churn and backlog
- Identify and implement improvements to recurring revenue financial models used in forecasting and long range plan
- Create and manage complex data sets from disparate sources using tools such as Excel, PowerBI and/or SQL to provide critical information needed for decision making
- Prepare annual operating plan and quarterly forecast for bookings and revenue, along with supporting analysis and reports
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly and annual results. Liaison with accounting to identify adjusting entries.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-3 years of progressive experience in a Financial Analyst or Revenue Accounting role
- Advanced Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data visualization)
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business-related field (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, etc.)
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present data in a clear and concise manner to all levels of the organization
- Must be comfortable working with large datasets
- Experience in B2B Software, Hosting and/or SaaS preferred
- Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, Netsuite, Salesforce a plus
- Experience developing financial models
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting required deadlines
- Well-organized, strong work ethic and attention to detail
