About The Team
Zillow Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) team is responsible for overseeing the company’s sustainability strategies. A primary focus for the CSR team is to drive sustainability strategy, programs and engagement across the company and with our partners.
About The Role
  • Lead from concept to implementation, the development of Zillow’s annual Sustainability Report, including writing, editing, content and data collection, reviews and approvals and cross-functional, proactive engagement between reporting cycles to incrementally up-level reporting.
  • Analyze and incorporate key reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB and UN SDGs into Zillow’s reporting practices over time.
  • Conduct sustainability materiality assessments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and working groups (e.g. Finance, Communications, Compliance, Risk, Legal) to ensure that Zillow is positioned for, and responsive to, growing regulations / expectations for transparent reporting on sustainability and ESG matters.
  • Lead engagements with external consultants and other partners to support key relevant workstreams.
  • Manage and further develop Zillow’s sustainability reporting efforts, including:
  • Manage the company’s new sustainability reporting tool to create an efficient, repeatable and SOX compliant reporting system.
  • Provide recommendations for additional reporting based on evolving expectations for disclosure.
  • Manage Zillow’s engagement with and submissions to ESG raters and rankers (ISS, Bloomberg, S&P Global, MSCI, Sustainalytics, JUST Capital and others as identified) including:
  • Communicate internally regarding changes to ESG raters and rankers methodology and opportunities for improvement.
  • Review and respond to the assessment of Zillow’s performance by ESG raters and rankers.
  • Use expertise to provide recommendations and actively contribute to shaping strategy, including:
  • Research and make strategic recommendations for new sustainability programs and policies, as identified.
  • Benchmark strategies, results, and performance with peers and best practices.
  • Assist the team with sustainability projects, programs and initiatives beyond reporting responsibilities.
  • Develop policies that will be owned by the sustainability team, as well as reviewing existing policies owned by the sustainability team annually for updates.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop messaging plans for both the annual Sustainability Report publication and opportunities to amplify the company’s efforts throughout the year.
  • Develop the company’s internal and external sustainability website.
  • Support preparation and updates on sustainability progress to leadership and the Board.
  • Lead all aspects of communications for sustainability reporting, including:
  • Develop, launch and lead the company’s corporate sustainability employee engagement learning series to advance sustainability internally.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $110,100.00 - $175,900.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in similar roles and a keen ability to work in a corporate environment with multiple cross-functional partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, finance, accounting, or a sustainability focused degree, or years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience producing annual sustainability reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent writer and communications expert with experience telling stories with an environmental and social focus.
  • Relevant reporting certifications (e.g. SASB FSA Level I or Level II and GRI).
  • Experience with the Workiva sustainability reporting system.
  • Experience responding to and engaging with relevant ESG raters and rankers (e.g. S&P Global, ISS, MSCI, Sustainalyitcs, JUST Capital)and/or ESG reporting frameworks (e.g. GRI, SASB, TCFD).
