Research Associate Jobs

Whistle Stop supports asset owners and managers in assessing, and then addressing, social and environmental issues within their investment portfolios. We work with companies, on behalf of their investors, to help them improve across a wide range of sustainability topics, such as workplace equity, social justice, climate change, labor rights and political involvement. We also support civil society organizations in building strategies to engage investors and companies on key social and environmental topics.

We are looking for a strong researcher, analyst, and communicator to join our team. We're a small company with an experienced and passionate team, working in a growing field.

We know that the work we do is unique and few candidates will have direct experience, so our focus is on finding someone who:

- is interested in justice, human rights, and environmental issues.

- is passionate and curious about why things are the way they are, and what investors and companies might do to encourage improvements.

- can identify and appreciate nuance in an issue - and will then research it further.

- is a strategic thinker and a comfortable leader - who views collaboration as a way to improve their work and its outcomes.

- writes well and has a good grasp of excel and/or other analytical software.
