Responsibilities

• Handle patient requests and complete related outbound calls
• Investigate patients' insurance benefits and financial assistance options
• Process and monitor prior authorizations to assist patients in starting or continuing therapy
• Provide expertise on medical and prescription insurance coverage, claim billing, prior authorization, and financial assistance opportunities
• Liaise between departments, payors, and providers to determine patients' prescription coverage

Skills

• Proficiency in insurance billing and Salesforce software
• Knowledge of commercial, government, and medical insurance
• Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology
• Experience in medical billing and claims processing
• Strong customer service and case management skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Computer literate and comfortable having difficult conversations with patients
• Experience working in a medical office setting
• Knowledge of prescription/medical insurance
• EMR experience
