As a Insurance Analyst II, you will provide exceptional customer service, investigate insurance benefits, process prior authorizations, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure comprehensive prescription coverage for patients. With a focus on insurance billing, claims processing, and prior authorizations, you will play a critical role in maximizing patients' access to care.

- Provide subject matter expertise on medical and prescription insurance coverage, claim billing, prior authorizations, and alternate financial assistance opportunities
- Communicate referral status to physicians and patients via phone, fax, or the core pharmacy system
- Monitor status of prior authorizations to ensure timely procurement of drug products for patients
- Accurately document information in appropriate systems and formats
- Assist with documentation and filing process for prior authorizations and appeals
- Familiarity with EMR systems and inbound call center operations
- Proficiency in medical billing, reimbursement, and claims processing
- Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations
- Commercial insurance, government insurance, and medical insurance knowledge
- Strong customer service and case management skills
- Comfortable having difficult conversations with patients
- Computer literate with experience using Salesforce software
- Experience working in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of prescription/medical insurance and medical terminology
- EMR experience is a plus
