As a Insurance Analyst II, you will provide exceptional customer service, investigate insurance benefits, process prior authorizations, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure comprehensive prescription coverage for patients. With a focus on insurance billing, claims processing, and prior authorizations, you will play a critical role in maximizing patients' access to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on medical and prescription insurance coverage, claim billing, prior authorizations, and alternate financial assistance opportunities
• Communicate referral status to physicians and patients via phone, fax, or the core pharmacy system
• Monitor status of prior authorizations to ensure timely procurement of drug products for patients
• Accurately document information in appropriate systems and formats
• Assist with documentation and filing process for prior authorizations and appeals

Skills

• Familiarity with EMR systems and inbound call center operations
• Proficiency in medical billing, reimbursement, and claims processing
• Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations
• Commercial insurance, government insurance, and medical insurance knowledge
• Strong customer service and case management skills

Additional Qualifications

• Comfortable having difficult conversations with patients
• Computer literate with experience using Salesforce software
• Experience working in a medical office setting
• Knowledge of prescription/medical insurance and medical terminology
• EMR experience is a plus
