Job Description

ABOUT TÁCHE:

Táche is a community-first brand creating a new category in alternative milk. Táche is rooted in three pillars: better tasting, better for the planet, and better for you. As a first-generation Iranian-American, pistachios were always a mainstay in Roxana Saidi’s home. They were her favorite nut not only for their cultural significance but also for their numerous health benefits. In ‘15, Roxana started making pistachio milk as an alternative to almond milk, which was depleting her native CA of water during its worst drought on record. After learning pistachios require significantly less water than almonds, Roxana set out to create a more sustainable, delicious alt-milk without any of the unhealthy added oils of oat milk. Táche launched in November 2020 via DTC and Foodservice channels. With nationwide distribution, Táche is rapidly expanding across third-wave coffee shops and cafes (Verve, Devoción, Ralph's Coffee, Blank Street, Maman, and Café Kitsuné to name a few), as well as in specialty and natural grocers like Erewhon and Foxtrot. Táche is a values-driven company. As part of our ethos as a female-led and founded brand, we proudly donate a portion of our profits, product, and our time to programming to the Lower Eastside Girls Club of New York to nurture the growth of underprivileged girls in our community. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a Regional Account Executive, Foodservice to fuel our growth, initially focusing primarily in LA, then scaling through the West Coast. This role will be responsible for managing the foodservice business and carrying themselves with enthusiasm and passion for our purpose, mission, and values. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the position exists to drive sales, build market share, and increase brand awareness while driving sales with long-term relationships with key regional and national chain accounts, marquee independent accounts, and brokers and distributors within the market. This role will also work collaboratilvy and support regional sales efforts lead by the National Sales Managers. The Regional Account Executive will be an integral part of the team and the face of the brand in the region. The right candidate will be passionate about coffee and sustainability, have a strong ability to operate with autonomy, and be highly motivated by sales results. Key responsibilities include leading sales in target accounts, delivering outsized results, and customer relationship management.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Key account management within the region. Effectively sell/convey the value proposition and profitability story to customers within the region to motivate and influence customer activity. Including selling in promotional activation at store level
  • Territory responsibilities include: LA Metro (Shoreline and Beyond the Grind directly) as well as support account level roll up into Vesta (which is managed by the National Sales Manager)
  • As assigned and as directed by VP of Sales, support sales goals for the non-commercial segment, specifically Compass Foodbuy
  • Prospective Target Accounts may include a mix of brand aligned single & multi-location shops
  • Collaborate with management on a clear strategy and plan to meet revenue goals in the assigned region through analysis & recommendation
  • Manage day-to-day headquarter communication, execution and growth incentives at assigned Foodservice Distributors. Focus on driving growth through route rides, sampling programs, distributor incentives, and sales analysis. Ensure distributors are educated to sell Táche
  • Focus on identifying, opening and executing strategic key accounts to further the growth within the region, inclusive of buyer relationships, promotional planning, and in-store execution to meet quarterly goals
  • Accounts may include Verve, Reborn Coffee, Intelligentsia, etc. along with regional support and collaboration on National Accounts such as Compass Foodbuy, Intelligentsia, Blue Bottle, Bluestone Lane, etc.
  • Your primary responsibility is to drive brand growth by generating new sales within a defined territory while ensuring the execution of sales strategy & priorities across specific customer segments. The initial strategy is to grow the LA Metro region before expanding to other regional cities, with a focus on premium coffee shops, bakery cafes, restaurants, etc)
  • Lead and establish continued education efforts through account training & training tools (baristas, for example) to ensure they’re educated on the benefits of Táche and how to communicate to customers
  • Must have strong selling skills, negotiation and organizational skills and a proven record of success in a sales capacity with an ability to grow and manage customer and team relationships
  • Analyze sales targets and monitor inbound monthly revenue. Communicate internally updates and changes to the pipeline. Provide corrective action & recommendation towards delays and challenges


WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Passion for sustainability and coffee
  • 3-5 years of experience in foodservice sales specifically working with local distributors, cafes, coffee shops and influential cafes
  • Should be comfortable with ‘feet-on-the-street’ responsibilities but know how to close deals remotely with ease
  • Excited about working as part of a small team in a startup that is growing quickly
  • Google Workspace and Notion experience a plus
  • Comfortable communicating regularly with Founders & Management, experience cross collaborating internal next steps to ensure successful account launches & ongoing promotions
  • Experience working with accounts and selling brand as an ingredient that integrates with other items like coffee, tea, matcha, baked goods, breakfast, etc
  • Candidate reports to VP of Sales & works collaboratively with National Foodservice Sales Managers
