Role Description
The Recruiting Manager works closely with the Sr Talent Manager and is primarily responsible for day-to-day administrative support for the recruitment and talent acquisition functions of the restaurant operations. This role will primarily focus on unit-level requisitions, which encompasses all restaurant positions up to and including General Managers. The Recruiting Manager role has great growth potential for someone who is curious and ready to learn. The ideal candidate is familiar with both FOH and BOH functions in the restaurant industry and has extensive guest service experience. The success of this role is deeply based in strong relationship building skills, effective cross-departmental communication, and the ability to adapt to new circumstances as they arise. Please note this position is a full-time onsite position located in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess applicant resumes based on the set qualifications and responsibilities of each individual role
- Perform administrative responsibilities to facilitate full interview process by scheduling additional interviews, service observations, or any other process step required for the particular role
- Post open roles and allot budget as approved to best reach our target demographic of candidates
- Coordinate and perform candidate interviews and screenings, as specified in the candidate process by role
- Build effective working relationships with ASL and restaurant-level hiring managers
- Enter new hire information into HRIS system, as needed
- Collaborate with the Sr Talent Manager and CPO to gain a full-scale understanding of talent needs within the organization and prioritize accordingly
- Create, edit, audit, and analyze current job descriptions and/or postings to optimize candidate flow
- Oversee restaurant-level recruitment efforts for all locations, including out-of-state
- Work collaboratively operations and other departments to best support organizational talent, recruitment, and cultural needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Psychology, Hospitality Management, or Culinary Degree preferred
- Proficiency in Spanish or French a plus
- Previous experience successfully utilizing an Applicant Tracking Systems
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Google Sheets and Excel
- Ability to successfully prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects based on business and operational needs
- Understanding of basic marketing concepts and graphic design experience a plus
- Proven ability to adapt to changing environments; both strong critical thinking and problem solving skills required
- 3+ years full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably for both exempt and non-exempt roles
- A foundational knowledge of the hospitality or restaurant industry and operations strongly preferred
