The Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for Coil product development and product implementation efforts. This role involves overseeing a team to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications. This role has high business visibility within Coil and would involve cross-functional interactions to achieve successful project implementation for business impact.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise with the project.
  • Ensures the project has risk assessments at all stages, has risk mitigations built into the project plan, and communicates the risk status to the business.
  • Ensure the team has effective data analysis to support investigations. Data analysis must be presented in a way that all can interpret it easily to drive to the correct conclusion.
  • Leverage project opportunities or learnings which could improve business knowledge or processes.
  • Identifies resource needs and risks for contingency timelines.
  • Ensures the project team has developed a comprehensive project plan with a project timeline and milestones.
  • Identifies resource needs and gains commitment from business leadership.
  • Shephard new formula introduction into the plant.
  • Lead the project team in identifying the scope, business need, business priority, gaining voice of the customer, and prioritized key critical to quality requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional team for selected divisional projects on time and to key specifications with a focus on business impact
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and prioritize appropriately.
  • Documents project progress with regular communication to the stakeholders and business leadership

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a cross functional team to a successful outcome
  • Program Leadership - Primarily facilitating program leadership.
  • System Knowledge - Working knowledge of the basic functions and benefits of the SW systems (PV, QAD, Batch tracking, Horizon etc)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Must have at least 5 - 8 years of experience in product development, Operations, Quality, Technical, or Sales
  • Change Leadership - Working knowledge of change leadership skills.
  • Results oriented
  • Previous direct customer interaction
  • Able to work with an international team to drive improvement.
  • Data Acquisition - Completed formal training and is able to acquire raw data and make recommendations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status).
  • Demonstrated success in leading Root Cause investigations and analysis tools
  • Knowledge of more complex problem solving and error proofing skills
  • Versatility - Trained, aware of the different social styles, needs little guidance on how to adjust to other styles.
  • Continuous Improvement Knowledge - Working knowledge of stats, ARC, and Lean.
  • Must have at least 2 years of project management experience
  • Strong Facilitator
  • Flexible work schedule to adapt prioritization changes and needs
  • Autonomy - Relies on peers for day to day tasks and direction on investigations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Program knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Minitab
  • Business Knowledge – A basic understanding of SW’s business units, products, Operations, and processes.
  • Presentations skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • System knowledge of Business Objects, Watson, MES, Product Vision, Discovery, and MES
  • Previous international travel for work.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Experience with Stage Gate Process
  • PMP Certification
  • 5 years of experience in coatings products development, Operations, Quality, Technical, or Sales


Travel Requirements: 30%Domestic and International
