Job Title: Project Manager
Job Summary
The Project Manager is an embedded role within the Marketing and Communications Department at Mount Sinai Health System. The Project Manager will have responsibility for building and sustaining an enhanced workflow, methodology and process capabilities to facilitate the efficient management and execution of the Marketing and Communications Team portfolio of work. The Project Manager is responsible for completing all deliverables on time, within budget, while meeting expectations. Planning is a critical component and needs to be detailed, specific, and ongoing. The Project Manager must keep the teams’ attention focused on achieving goals and meeting deadlines, by clearly communicating expectations and a sense of urgency when required. All project deliverables and activities need to be visualized and articulated in accurate detail. The Project Manager will interface with all disciplines in the Department and should inspire and promote action with all players.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Establish and track cost to performance metrics.
  • Estimate resources needed for future projects and highlight potential resource deficiencies.
  • Create and enforce project schedules, ensuring all internal parties meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Performs other related duties.
  • Continually improve the process and help implement new workflows. Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness. Be a proactive resource for the Central Marketing Team and educate team on project management best practices and tools. Provide the necessary training and education to the Team to ensure effective and efficient implementation.
  • Maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables across all channels (broadcast, print and digital).
  • Create project management tools and templates that will be used to educate the department.
  • Communicate and escalate project issues and risks as appropriate.
  • Act as the owner and expediter of the creative task list by managing requests, proactively communicating with all stakeholders and ensuring that quality standards are met or exceeded.
  • Manage all projects from inception through to post-mortem, working with all team members in Central Marketing, to ensure that projects are delivered in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
  • Schedule and manage regular meetings with the Central Marketing Team to discuss the ongoing strategy and future requirements.
  • Serve as a proactive resource for the Central Marketing Team by creating and implementing the appropriate project management tools to ensure marketing deliverables are produced efficiently, and of high quality.
  • Establish the project plan, scope, schedule, and management of resource allocation.
  • Ensure that each project is clarified, articulated to all constituents and responsibility is assigned to the appropriate player.
  • Recommend innovative ideas to optimize project management capabilities within Central Marketing.
  • Work with the Central Marketing team to define the detailed project deliverables and establish efficient workflow processes.
  • Maintain creative resource time allocations and give status reports daily.
Education Requirements
Requires a BA/BS degree, PMP certified is preferred.
Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience of project management and related experience; working in highly matrixed organization; strong preference for experiencing in a marketing department or advertising agency.

  • Experience and familiarity with the creative process.
  • Creative thinker with experience in providing new and different ways to solve for problems and opportunities.

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders; client service oriented with ability to partner with stakeholders toward solutions.

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $79,720.00 - $119,580.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
