The Role

You will be a part of the Product Introduction & Operationalization team responsible for the operational success of Tesla’s residential energy products. This is a cross-functional role that requires coordination between many different groups within and outside of Tesla. You’ll be required to wear various hats, collaborating across teams such as product engineering, business operations, material planning, field installation, and channel management to ensure successful operationalization of new products and process changes, maximizing our impact on the energy transition.
Success in this role requires an excellent technical engineering/construction foundation to understand the hardware/software products we are deploying in the physical world. In parallel, you must have a strong desire and proven ability of being an effective leader who surfaces key issues early in a program’s lifecycle, offers strategic solutions, and drives action across a national organization.
What You’ll Do

• Drive action & accountability from cross functional groups to execute on schedule
• Effectively scope, drive, and launch existing product/process change initiatives
• Work with cross functional stakeholders to surface requirements, dependencies, and priorities
• Define and execute successful launches for the field implementation of new energy products and change initiatives
• Report to leadership on status, critical issues, and strategic recommendations
• Anticipate risks to the launch and find solutions to mitigate them, escalating when needed

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering or technical discipline (MBA a strong plus)
• Comfort in pushing the boundary of what’s possible and not accepting the status quo
• Direct experience driving change, efficiency gains, and cost reduction within a national organization
• A relentless drive to make things happen
• Effective communication and exceptional interpersonal skills
• Experience and comfort working with large datasets to drive decision making
• Direct experience in construction/renewables/electrical installation industries
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate independently to solve complex, ambiguous product/operational problems
• Direct experience in the introduction of hardware products

Expected Compensation
$68,000 - $222,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
