Procurement Manager - Remote In Us Only

Our dynamic world-class client is seeking a REMOTE Procurement Manager with 5+ years of sourcing/procurement, vendor management, and contract experience. You will work with national vendors to ensure the terms of contracts are in the interest of both parties with regard to sourcing goods and materials for the company. While the position is remote, you will be required to travel to the Kansas City metro for meetings throughout the year. Living in the KC area is a huge plus, but not required for consideration.

The job (this is only a partial list of duties):

• Customize sourcing strategy to drive value in a specific functional environment, including legal & regulatory context.
• Be a relationship builder, so vendors want to work with you.
• Identify, build, and maintain mutually beneficial relationships, partnerships, and alliances with select suppliers by implementing global sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and maximizing value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead the implementation of best-in-class supplier management processes, which will enable business growth, and drive excellence in operational and financial performance.
• Assess the risk of suppliers, and materials and implement risk mitigation plans.
• Effectively read and manage complex contracts while ensuring the legal language is clear to all parties.

What do you need?

• Experience with vendor management systems
• Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited University
• Experience working in a matrixed environment
• Passion for professional growth
• 5+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, contract negotiation, purchasing, etc., preferably in the food/beverage industry.
• Strong attention to detail - nothing gets by you, and nothing falls through the cracks
• Contract and RFP experience

NOTE: All applicants must be eligible to work in the USA with no restrictions. All applicants must reside in the continental USA and have access to a major airport. Client would love to find someone in the Kansas City area, but it is not required.
