  • Negotiate priorities with suppliers, with the ability to change contract dates on purchase orders to meet program need dates
  • Prepares requests for quotes/proposals consistent with the requirements of the prime contract.
  • Access Supplier Portal applications to communicate/interface with suppliers to manage all open Purchase Orders and ensure MRP system/information continuity. Work within MRP system to identify/track purchase orders.
  • Interface directly with supply base to track and manage quality and delivery performance directly impacting Supplier Performance Metrics. Prevent production material shortages by identifying and expediting necessary shortages.
  • Analyize and Prepare Metrics for Weekly Gemba, Buyer Data, knowledge of Excel for Data
  • Follow L3Harris/Federal acquisition policies and procedures to ensure timely and economical procurement of all material, parts, assemblies, equipment and services.
  • Obtain Return Material Authorizations (RMA) from suppliers and support program office with timely processing of repair/rework requisitions and manage all material return shipments.
  • Liaison between suppliers and L3Harris to organize, coordinate and manage purchase orders for all non-subcontract efforts.
  • Analyzes suppliers’ proposals, selects or recommends suppliers, negotiates prices, schedules and terms & conditions, awards POs, ensures on-time delivery, verifies delivery, approves payment and maintains necessary records.
  • Monitor and Update Supplier documents such as Annual Certification, NDA, Quality Survey
  • Communicate supplier invoice discrepancies and work with supplier and accounts payable to close invoice issues and resolve open commitments to ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Expedite material to improve working capital and resolve all floor shortages.
  • Liaison between suppliers and L3Harris to organize, coordinate and manage purchase orders for all non-subcontract efforts.
  • Documents procurements in accordance with Company policy to ensure acceptable internal and government audit results
  • Work with Vendor Management to Add Suppliers in the System
  • Develops new sources of supply based on quality product, on-time delivery and competitive pricing.
  • Access Supplier Portal applications to communicate/interface with suppliers to manage all open Purchase Orders and ensure MRP system/information continuity. Work within MRP system to identify/track purchase orders.
  • Lead meetings and conference calls with internal Customers (Programs Team and Material Managers) to identify and resolve supplier performance issues for quality and/or delivery.
  • Work with suppliers and Accounts Payable department to close supplier invoice issues and resolve open commitments.
  • Frequently meets with internal company and external contacts to represent the organization on specific projects.


Qualifications:


  • Knowledge in procurement, supply chain, and material management processes.
  • Travel up to 10%
  • Requires proficient knowledge of job area. May have practical knowledge of project management. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $57,500 - $106,5000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
