StreSERT Services Limited is a Consulting firm with focus on a range of HR services that include Recruitment (talent acquisition), Learning & Development, Background Checks, HR Consulting, Staff & Business Process Outsourcing, as well as Expatriate Management. We are currently looking to hire a PAYROLL OFFICER at our office in Ikeja, Lagos
Responsibilities

• Prepare employees’ compensation by the end of each month using payroll software
• Enter new employees’ data (e.g. bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases
• Collect daily, weekly or monthly timesheets.
• Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with regulations
• Distribute payment statements and gather signed receipts (digital or paper)
• Calculate bonuses and allowances
• Report on payroll expenses
• Answer questions about compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions
• Schedule bank payments or hand out paychecks directly to employees

Requirements

• Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors
• Hands-on experience with HRIS and accounting software
• Good knowledge of labor legislation
• Time-management skills
• Minimum of B.Sc. in Accounting, Human Resources or relevant field
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Min of 1-2 years experience as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk or similar role
