POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for dynamic, best-in-class talent to join the Mediabrands team as a Payroll Associate. In this role you will play an integral part in payroll processing while working closely with a team of two other Payroll Associates. You will ensure accurate and timely execution of tasks and help identify ways to improve our processes to ensure consistency and integrity in payroll data, policies, and procedures. This role involves high volume, time-sensitive work requiring impeccable attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Effectively and accurately enter payroll transactions into HRIS (PeopleSoft). Transactions include, but are not limited to, new hires, terminations, promotions, bonuses, and other pay data changes.
- Process, review, and confirm semi-monthly payrolls for exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Exercise highest level of confidentiality when dealing with employee information.
- Process and maintain overtime and temporary employee timesheets.
- In rotation with the other Payroll Associates, oversee the AskPayroll email box, responding to and forwarding inquiries as appropriate.
- Develop relationships with internal clients and partners, most notably with HR and Finance.
- Master the HR platforms and technology used within Mediabrands, including but not limited to, PeopleSoft, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and EmpTrust.
- Assist department managers and staff by answering payroll questions, and research and resolve payroll problems and discrepancies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly resourceful and efficient.
- Tremendous professionalism, dedication to outstanding customer service, and calm under pressure.
- Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize with minimal supervision and to adapt quickly to changing needs.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a Payroll department or business office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Dedication to follow-through on all tasks and to meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with, at minimum, basic Excel skills.
- Maintains discretion and confidentiality.
- Comfortable working both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
- Strong technical aptitude and comfortable learning and working in various online systems; HRIS experience a huge plus.

The salary range for this position is posted below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
