Job Description

Prime Aesthetics Group is a fast growing, physician owned Plastic Surgery and Medical Spa organization that operates as owner to many luxury aesthetic offices throughout the United States. Our goal is to make it easier for our practices by consolidating back-office operations such as human resources, marketing, finance, operations and information technology which allows our world class surgeons to provide the highest caliber of patient care.

We are looking to hire a Payroll Specialist to support our Human Resources Department in processing the payroll for our practices.

Our ideal candidate is someone who has experience processing high volume, multi-location and multi-state payroll (California, a plus!).


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence and/or reports as requested.
  • Maintain and update company organization charts.
  • Assists with processing of terminations.
  • Enters, maintains and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
  • Support HR team on projects as needed.
  • Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits and other deductions.
  • Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Create, maintain, document and update payroll processes as needed.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of payroll practices, policies and procedures.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a remote work environment.
  • Ability to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all business-related information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 3 years payroll experience.
  • Certified Payroll Administrator (CPA) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of payroll procedures and policies.
  • Experience with ADP TotalSource preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
