Adecco seeks a dynamic and customer-centric Operations Manager who has extensive experience with manufacturing and logistic skills. The Operations Manager will oversee a plant of 25-30 employees and be responsible for manufacturing, logistics, cost establishment and achievement, process improvements, supply change management, employee relations, regulatory compliance and budget management. Oversees the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met. The Operations Manager will develop logistical plans that will ensure our internal, external and international client needs are met. Collaborate with all Managers of each department and directs the daily activities of the production staff while ensuring quality of product and service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production
- Oversee the preparation of orders with motorization.
- Answer PI’s for motorization and rollup shades.
- Work with production managers to ensure the brand standards of quality and production output levels are being met.
- Communicate and resolve various production and shipment issues at plant and with international factory.
Scheduling
- Approve and schedule rush lead times.
- Monitor shop schedule daily to ensure production goals are being met and evaluate if staff adjustments need to be made.
- Work closely with administration to schedule orders and maintain lead-times.
- Create weekly reports for Indonesian factory in order to ensure timely delivery of shipments and order schedules are met.
Inventory and Purchasing
- Responsible for purchasing of all inventory used in production.
- Seek new vendors and materials for production.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels in the US and overseas factories.
- Negotiate all new and existing contracts with vendors in order to reduce and maintain low costs.
- Closely manage motors and related components on hand to reduce inventory value, obsolescence, and improve cash flow.
Product Development/Industry Regulations
- Active involvement in industry organizations and maintaining membership status.
- Ensure compliance with window covering industry safety standards both in the US and internationally.
- Proactively lead and manage sourcing initiatives and testing to evolve product ideas and production methods.
Safety Standards
- Safety Manager for brand Imports.
- Forklift Trained
Facility and General Management
- Work closely with production team to boost employee morale, increase employee satisfaction and drive improvements in production output.
- Schedule weekly cleaning for the brand facilities.
- Responsible for layout and maintenance of the production facility
- Work closely with finance to review and make corrections to various production costs while maintaining lead times and excellent quality.
- Assists Managing Director with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
- Monitors the production equipment to make sure that it stays in good working order, and repair or replace the equipment when needed.
- Coordinate with the landlord or other vendors when problems arise or repairs are needed.
- Responsible for building, developing, and managing production leadership team, while carrying out strategies and improving employee relations.
Shipping and Receiving
- Negotiate contracts with transportation and logistics providers.
- Provide sales team with freight quotes.
- Responsible for any claims and freight disputes.
- Oversee compliance with all import and export laws.
- Oversee the shipping and receiving department.
Miscellaneous
- General problem solver.
- Create and coordinate production employee morale and reward system. (e.g. employee of the month program)
- Manage the use and maintenance of company vehicles.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises and coaches the Production Managers, Product Engineer, Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, Production Assistant and Materials Coordinator. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, interviewing and hiring. Also requires the Operations Manager to plan, assign and direct work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. The Operations Manager, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty

Salary: $110k-$125k/yr
