When you join Optibelt Corporation, you will be joining an industry leader in the power transmission belt space. We are a subsidiary of the Arntz Optibelt Group with multiple production facilities across Europe and Asia to support our leading role in markets across the world.
Optibelt products are used where durability and quality are required without making any compromises: from trucks and buses to heavy-duty applications like road profilers and tub grinders, agriculture applications like combines and forage harvesters to zero-turn lawnmowers and specialty custom solutions for food, beverage, and packaging applications.
Your prime responsibilities — and your key metrics — will be to create and execute business development strategies with our OEM customers in the United States to grow business with existing customers and develop new OEM customers.
On any given day you will:
- Utilize company data to generate actionable insights and campaigns.
- From time to time, attend networking events, trade shows, and industry exhibitions.
- Communicate expectations, continually raise the bar, and consistently hold self and employees accountable for performance.
- Build business relationships with OEM customers by advising customers of our products’ features and benefits within your assigned group of accounts and leads.
- Update CRM with real-time meeting and opportunity updates.
- Provide consistent, timely, and insightful feedback regarding market conditions, competitive implications, and product portfolio opportunities to our innovation team.
- Work to expand Optibelt’s customer base by pursuing new OEM customers.
What you need to bring to the table:
Above all, you need to be confident and experienced in presenting to and working with executives, business owners, different levels of management, purchasing agents, and engineers. You need to be articulate and be able to navigate conversations with ease. You will have previously pitched (and sold) industrial products as well as managed OEM accounts.
You must have at least 5 years of experience selling to OEM customers. Experience with polyurethane timing belts, power transmission v-belts, lightweight conveyor belts, or other power transmission products would be a plus.
Other favorable traits include:
- You have MS Office and CRM experience. We use SugarCRM.
- A college degree– Business, Engineering, or Engineering Technology would be the most beneficial.
- Create strategies that maximize mutual and sustainable growth with our partners.
- At least 5 years of sales experience and you have a proven knack for closing.
- The ability to work independently and complete projects on time.
- Develop and own the long-term strategic plan to drive sustainable growth with our OEM partners.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with existing customers and prospective partners.
- Proven track record of leveraging a “growth mindset” to consistently meet and exceed objectives.
- You have a passion for learning about products, can quickly grasp new concepts, and then articulate them perfectly to prospects.
- Ability to travel. You should be prepared to travel up to 40% of the time.
- Demonstrated ability to overcome objections.
- Previous experience working with global teams.
- Build partnerships internally and externally that support growing the business.
