My client is seeking to hire a Sales Manager to join our leadership team. You will be in charge of providing inspired leadership for a team of Sales Consultants within Grand Rapids, Michigan, partnering with field production staff, and overseeing the daily activity for the market,


Job Summary


  • Responsible to consistently and effectively communicate the company objectives to senior leadership team through organized and scheduled conference calls and email communication
  • Flexibility to travel to various sites within a defined geographic area.
  • Communicates with customers regularly to ensure transparency and maintain a positive experience.
  • Identifies new business opportunities within a defined geographic area.
  • Accountable to ensure that trends of underperformance are formally addressed, with clear and documented performance improvement plans
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
  • Provide leadership and accountability to a team of employees in various departments within a defined geographic area.
  • Drive Sales, Profitability and Gross Margin Growth
  • Develop employees at all levels to ensure the region's bench strength
  • Ensures a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards in all locations.
  • Monitor all P&Ls within the defined geographic area and understands trends and deviations from the norm, as well as how to correct negative occurrences.
  • Work with the Finance Group to ensure P&L accuracy.
  • Work with Field Operations Managers to effectively analyze and understand their P&L reports Collaborate with Managers to develop and adhere to a sustainable budget.
  • Ensure company operational model compliance as well as customer compliance.
  • Partner with HR to develop strategies to reduce turnover and increase employee retention. Complete all required paperwork on time to ensure compliance with the company's various policies and procedures.
  • Instills a culture of delivering extraordinary customer service, self-accountability and constant improvement.
  • Leads the Safety Culture by example and develops processes to ensure constant process improvement.


Job Requirements


  • Desire to surround customers with service excellence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 10 years experience managing multiple sites
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Previous exterior remodeling sales experience - required.
  • Detail oriented
  • Must have strong leadership and decision-making skills, including the ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, and mentor employees.
  • Previous regional leadership experience- required
  • Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
  • High aptitude for technology
