About this position
Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in a commercial position, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong relationships with clients. The role requires a strong understanding of the sales process, excellent communication and negotiation skills and a drive to exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales
- Negotiate and close deals with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions;
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales and order book targets;
- Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction;
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, carbon footprint and competitor activities.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to customers and potential customers;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers;
- Develop and maintain a strong client base through prospecting and lead generation;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Design and product development, to maximize sales opportunities; and
Operations and Planning
- Elaborate sales annual regional budget together with CCO;
- Follow and ensure his team is following the key company policies and procedures;
- Manage his/her regional sales team, ensuring products and services are inline with customer requests.
- Elaborate an accurate three-year regional sales forecast plan together with CCO; Prepare accurate sales forecasts for management review.
- Meet with CCO on a frequent basis to track overall sales performance;
Communications, Public Relations and CSR
- Participate in key industry events and conferences.
- Clarify company’s objectives to his/her team; and
Human Resources
- Develop a well motivated and trained team within/for his region; and
- Supervise all regional staff recruitment and keep a low rate of staff turnover.
Mandatory Competencies & Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial sales position;
- Experience working across multiple cultures and teams;
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and juggling multiple projects, under pressure;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets;
- Willingness to travel as needed;
- Be based in the United States: The candidate must be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States, with a valid work permit or authorization to work in the country.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships;
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field;
- A strong understanding of product development and new service concepts;
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset. The candidate should be goal-oriented, self-driven, and thrive in a performance-driven culture;
- Knowledge of the Onboard market;
- Resilience under pressure and against deadlines;
- Leadership skills are crucial in order to motivate and collaborate with other members;
- English speaker (bilingual)
- Proficiency in using a CRM software and applications involved in the sales process;
Desirable Competencies and Skills
●Experience in onboard equipment or catering supply for airlines, railway companies or hotels.
●Masters Degree in Business Administration or related field.
●Fluency in other languages.
●Knowledge of Salesforce.com
