Alteryx is searching for a NOC Systems Administrator. This position is remote-friendly.
Position Overview:
As part of our NOC Team, this position will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our server infrastructure and technology services as well as providing escalation support and assistance to all levels of the company.
Primary Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (may require some after-hours work).
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Developing solutions for automating and improving NOC support services
  • Provide Linux and Windows server installation, administration, and maintenance as needed
  • Incident handling: notification, coordinating resources, troubleshooting, mitigation, and root cause analysis
  • Create and maintain detailed and complete system documentation
  • Continuously improve monitoring to be more proactive and automated for mitigating and reporting incidents
  • Response to and handling of incident management procedures
  • Work service requests and tickets submitted to IT, reassigning, or escalating as needed
  • Manage and monitor systems and services that support the global operations of Alteryx
  • Coordinate weekly maintenance activities and communicate them to the organization

Qualifications/Desired Skills:
  • Experience working with Git for code management is a plus
  • Practical knowledge of and troubleshooting experience with networking equipment such as switches, routers, and firewall’s functions and services
  • Able to maintain composure and high-performance in critical situations with limited support staff and/or executive visibility
  • Practical knowledge of Change Management processes
  • 5+ years of IT Operations experience, including administration of Linux and Window servers
  • Experience working with automation and configuration management solutions such as Ansible is a plus
  • Excellent troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
  • 2+ years of experience of working within or closely with NOC
  • Experience working with NewRelic for monitoring / automation is a plus
  • Practical knowledge of development frameworks and approaches such as Agile is a plus
  • Demonstrable proficiency of scripting with PowerShell and BASH with a focus on automation. (systems management, services administration such as Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange Online, etc.)
  • Practical knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP and Azure is a plus
  • Able to provide professional, timely, and courteous customer service
  • A strong desire to work with new and upcoming technologies
  • Commitment to their team, completing shifts by handing off important information
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team that operates outside normal business hours
Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
The salary range for this role in Southern California, Colorado, Washington, and Rhode Island is $69,100 - $81,000.
The salary range for this role in New York City and Northern California is $75,500 - $85,600.
In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus and stock grants. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
