Aims Community College seeks a talented individual to join our team as a Website Systems Administrator. If you are a technologist, enjoy becoming an expert in new & existing software, are a great problem solver and have superb interpersonal support skills, this position is for you.
The Website System Admin will lead in managing and supporting the College's core software platforms. A successful candidate will recognize that software platforms need constant management due to vendor updates, new technologies, changing business needs and updated best practices.
This position requires a commitment to continued learning, research, testing and working with end users to ensure everything works correctly. This role supports the planning, design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all College web-related software platforms (See the entire tech stack below).
The Website System Admin will communicate and work closely with almost every area of the College, from faculty members to events to student representatives, all while maintaining a high level of service to ensure core business functions that happen with the College's web-oriented tools are optimized and functioning well.
To be successful in this role, you'll need technical chops and have a working understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, APIs, Technology Plug-Ins and other programming strategies. We are looking for someone to maintain, streamline and optimize our current systems and recommend and help build new infrastructure and services that will keep our company at the forefront of technology.
You will be part of the Marketing and Communications Department in this role. You'll be embedded with the Website Team within Marcom and report to the Website Manager. The Website Team is a core part of the College and supports many initiatives.

Technology Systems Support:
- Continually monitors and reviews supported platforms to ensure technical and internal standards are met.
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
- Managing the full platform technology stack that the college uses.
- Support college employees in using software and in brainstorming the best use of the software to support the user's needs or goals.
Website and Platform Development Support, Integration Assistance, and Technology Leadership.
- Supporting the Website Manager with various website and platform development tasks.
- Lead technology discussions, including web strategy and design, with all appropriate College teams and stakeholders to determine how to align College technologies to deliver the best experience for end users.
- Assists departments and faculty/staff members in the design and implementation of platform integrations.
Training Documentation & Desk Manual Creation:
- Training and developing documentation related to job functions and software platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Extremely detail-oriented, proactive executor — when you recognize a problem, you default to action.
- Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g., Apache).
- Adept at building processes from the ground up and managing projects. No undertaking is too big or small.
- Five (5) years of experience in an equivalent role or environment or similar internet-related functions, including but not limited to Web Development or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Familiarity with multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery).
- UI/UX design.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Systems Administration or other related fields; plus,
- Perform in a professional manner and demonstrate good customer services skills.
- Excellent collaborator who loves building relationships with people across departments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Change Leadership - Leads through vision and values and models leadership behaviors.
- Experience with Drupal CMS.

Minimum Payment Amount:
$68,890.00
Employees in these positions may be asked to participate in temporary assignments lasting less than 6 months (such as curriculum development, short term projects, meetings and substitute duties) which could amount to additional temporary pay.
