About LOVB:  
Launched in 2019, League One Volleyball (LOVB) is a mission-led sports performance, training and media lifestyle venture that will change the game of volleyball, the most popular sport for girls in the US.
LOVB is one holistic ecosystem for club and pro volleyball. We support athletes through their entire journey - from prep to pro. We are launching our professional league in the US from the grassroots up, with each pro team built from a foundation of ambitious junior clubs located across the country. We are paving a path to successful careers - both on and off the court.

The Role
Join us and lead League One Volleyball's (LOVB) college recruiting efforts serving as the head of the entire college recruiting department.
In this highly visible role, the Director of Recruiting determines the strategic direction and objectives of the recruiting department, which in turn supports LOVB's growth while simultaneously maintaining its culture and quality standards. Critical to achieving excellent results, is the ability of the Director of Recruiting to build strong relationships within the college volleyball landscape and deliver results in a rapidly and constantly evolving environment.
Some Initial Responsibilities Include
  • Communicating protocols and procedures to club community and club recruiting coordinators
  • Facilitating national recruiting showcases, and nurture relationships with college coaches
  • Developing training series/continuing education programs for club recruiting coordinators
  • Partnering with video production team to ensure smooth communication and timeliness of highlight videos
  • Creating social media campaigns to highlight athletes throughout the LOVB club network.
  • Spearheading LOVB's College Recruiting process, protocols and proceduresthis include remaining up to date on the ever changing landscape of collegiate volleyball including all NCAA rules and regulations at each NCAA and NAIA level.
Experience And Skills
  • Communication skills are also imperative for this position, both in written and in verbal form to enable smooth cross-functional communications with college coaches, PSA's, and their families, being able to clearly articulate LOVB's messages and bring out a positive image of the LOVB initiatives.
  • 10+ years in a Recruiting Director position (or equivalent), preferably working as the Recruiting Director in a large and highly competitive girls' club program.
  • Proven and successful experience managing full-cycle recruiting processes consisting of on-boarding, student-athlete consultation, athlete evaluation, target list preparation, process management, athlete marketing, connecting with college programs, and student-athlete commitment process.
  • A reputation for being a people-driven and thought leader, leveraging qualities that lead to athlete empowerment with a passionate, graceful, and personal approach.
  • Experience working on web-based platforms including experience with basic web-based publishing.
  • Demonstrate an ability to analyze the performance of the department's existing strategies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement, availing solutions, and further developing new and improved strategies.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of video editing and content delivery methods across multiple platforms for both athlete profiles as well as video.
  • Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Forms and other key GSuite apps to creation of visually and verbally engaging reports for executives and key stakeholders
  • Technologically adept and have a passion for conducting research and deriving actionable insights from raw data and information.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, demonstrating an ability to influence senior business executives and to drive a cross-functional team in an aligned direction, with an ability to build meaningful and lasting relationships with others naturally, to relate with college coaches, Recruiting Coordinators, and PSA's in the field easily
