POSITION PROFILE
The 2nd shift Microsoft System Administrator works with the existing Microsoft Engineering team to implement, manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support internal and hosted customer Microsoft environments. The position requires implementing new system hardware and software, and updating documentation around procedures and policies as needed or requested. This person will be asked to participate in various project teams to support customer deployments, internal projects, or developing new offerings or solutions.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. CST
Key Responsibilities
  • Process new orders for deployment of Microsoft Servers
  • Make updates to any support procedures or process guides as requested
  • Will serve as first touch on tickets assigned to Microsoft Team and co-manage the team ticket queue
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Successfully complete change requests within approved change windows as assigned
  • Support existing Microsoft Server environments – troubleshooting customer incidents
  • Maintain health of all Microsoft environments
  • Participate in on-call rotation (once every 6 weeks)
  • Respond to support calls, managing incidents within the ticketing system and providing resolution to issues and documenting solutions within ticketing system
  • Create Documentation for NOC to support customer requests and decrease escalations
Requirements
  • Experience with enterprise server hardware ? 1 year of SQL administration (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Experience with supporting Microsoft systems that run on a hypervisor (ex: VMware)
  • Keep current with the latest technologies and willing to accept training and certification
  • Excellent troubleshooting techniques and methodology
  • 1 year of Citrix administration (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience in a Microsoft Server Environment
  • Wireshark, PowerShell, System Hardening
  • Experience providing systems administration and issue resolution for Microsoft Server
