Mechanical/ Process Startup Lead

The facilities group at Tesla Giga Texas is searching for a Mechanical/ Process Completions Lead. Come and join us to help accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy!
What You’ll Do

• Define spare for each system being turned over to O&M team
• Review vendor commissioning reports and upload files to the Completions Management System (CMS)
• Participate and provide feedback in design reviews of capital projects
• Ensure alignment with Startup Manager on system priorities
• Coordinate with Facilities team for turnover of systems. Support operations with troubleshooting system failures and reporting of events
• Execute commissioning checklists verification and Cx walks (hand-off)
• Understand electrical system performance needs and various operations sequences and scenarios
• Understand Sequence of Operation (SOO) and how system is designed to operate
• Coordinate with Facilities team for turnover of systems. Support O&M with troubleshooting system failures and reporting of events
• Develop Integrated System Test (IST) for approval
• Review closure of Cc and Cx issues

What You’ll Bring

• B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• Confident and able to work on own initiative and with limited supervision
• Commitment to safety
• Proficient with Completion Management Systems (CxAlloy, Pims, WinPCS, Mancon, or equivalent) is a plus
• Flexible and able to adapt to current and new company requirements
• Ability to interact and coordinate with other departments
• 2 years commissioning experience in oil and gas or large capital projects
• Great organizational skills
