Job Description
Overview:
Marshall Steel (located in Memphis, TN) has an opening for an Engineering Intern. We would like to have a Mechanical Engineering student, but will consider a Civil Engineering major. Must have good communication skills, be detail oriented, and have a working knowledge of AutoCad. Must pass drug screen.
Responsibilities:
The job duties are varied from drawing, design work, filing, vendor bid selection, basically assisting our Maintenance Managers, Rolling Mill Build Managers, and Plant Engineering with their daily work load. Intern must be willing to venture onto shop floor, capable of hands-on work, get dirty, work in hot/cold environments, perform some manual labor and lift 20-30 lbs. occasionally. GREAT learning experience as well as a fun job with nice people!
Qualifications:
  • Completed at least their freshman year of study
  • Preferred GPA of at least 2.7.
  • Candidates should be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering
