MECHANICAL DESIGNER NPD
Job Summary
The Mechanical CAD Designer is responsible for preparing and maintaining engineering or sustaining project design layouts, production drawings and other related documentation per ANSI/ Schlumberger standards, considering methods of manufacture and tolerance and their effect on related parts or assemblies.
Responsibilities:
Produce 3D models of tools and equipment.
Produce manufacturing drawings.
Manage the Engineering Product File, including drawings and specifications.
Collaborate on the drafting of assembly and maintenance manuals.
Function as a design engineer for routine/correction.
Prepare average complexity original mechanical layouts using the CAD system.
Depending on seniority, use the CAD system to prepare and maintain highest complexity mechanical and average complexity electrical and electronic product and production drawings and other related documentation from layouts, sketches or verbal instructions.
Maintain status reports on all projects assigned.
Helps with assembly and testing of tools if required.
Minimum Job Qualifications
High School Diploma
10 yrs. experience as Engineering Designer.
Proficient in CAD systems: Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo.
Candidate must be able to work legally in the US without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Understand SLB manufacturing processes and techniques, and interpretation of ANSI/SLB standards and procedures.
Possesses knowledge of mechanical systems.
Partial to total knowledge of the electrical and electronic Product Line.
