Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team asMechanical Technician. You will be responsible for assembling mechanical equipment.

• Assemble/dismantle frac tree components for field installation
• Verify material per bill of material.
• Reads and interprets assembly blueprints and schematics and plans assembly or building operations.
• Operates stationary and moving overhead cranes, forklifts, and any equipment needed to perform job within safety guidelines.
• Technicians may be required to test or assist in testing operation of completed products.
• Mechanical technician s have to participate in all tool box safety meetings that are conducted.
• Sets and verifies parts clearances.
• Maintain customer satisfaction and continual improvements of our products;
• Follows Standards, Procedures and Work Instructions to produce product of acceptable Quality.
• May assist more senior employees some of the time.
• Assemble/dismantle valve equipment
• Perform assemblies, based on assembly drawings and bill of materials, capable of following written assembly instructions, maintain their work areas clean and free of debris.
• With supervision, this position is responsible for assembling mechanical equipment or manufactured equipment to specifications as called out on equipment drawings.

Skills Required

• Techs need ability to read all schematics, and use those schematics to build all required assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Should be able to operate pallet jacks, cranes and forklifts
• Able to record serial number of assemblies for traceability purposes.
• Should be able to operate power tools, and large hand tools.
• General oilfield product/equipment operating knowledge.
• Will be trained to work on hydraulic systems, wellhead equipment and frac equipment.
• Aligns components, bolts, screws and torque them together.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Consideration will be made for equivalent education/direct work experience to include Valve Technician general assembly;
• Highschool diploma or equivalent required

Additional Requirements

• Ability to drive a forklift and/or crane preferred
• Safety certifications including: hoisting and rigging (shop only), overhead crane, forklift certification, first aid, H2S are considered an asset.
