About this role:

The Marketing Data Strategist for the Peripheral Interventions (PI) division is responsible for conducting deep analysis to generate actionable insights that drive critical business decisions and support marketing excellence at Boston Scientific. The Market Data Strategist will drive effective customer segmentation that will inform several activities including digital marketing campaigns, product launches, and other commercial tactics. The Market Data Strategist is expected to develop relationships with business partners, perform creative analytics and research to develop compelling recommendations, and provide excellent management of the projects. The role will also be responsible for competitive intelligence tracking & reporting. The Market Data Strategist will maintain a forward looking view on the PI landscape and provide strategic recommendations for BSC to protect our competitive advantage.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Develops and recommends campaign target lists based on internal and external data sources.
  • Tracks competitive business activities that enable franchise teams to develop informed portfolio strategies and commercial tactics
  • Establishes strong relationship development/collaboration with product marketing, digital marketing, brand activation, commercial operations and corporate strategy teams.
  • Utilize strong analytical and quantitative skills to integrate broad corporate/divisional business performance needs into franchise level decision-making and strategic planning
  • Develops and implements of structured, practical, fact-based approach to market, customer, and business analysis and strategy development.
  • Encourages a grass roots paradigm shift on marketing within the BSC organization and influences organizational thinking on Marketing Excellence and digital acceleration.
  • Participates in cross-functional, cross-divisional data integration projects
  • Implements marketing strategy processes and sharing knowledge about those processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience combining multiple, disparate datasets to develop insights.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including developing relationships in all levels of the organization and indirectly influencing business objectives
  • Proven analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with a variety of primary market research methodologies and/or market modeling/analytics
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in diagnosing business problems and developing/implementing solutions.
  • 3+ years' experience in consulting, market research, business strategy/analytics, health economics, finance and/or marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Healthcare/Biomedical.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Prior experience in Alteryx, Sales Force and/or Tableau preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare industry claims data.
