Summary/Objective

Responsible for the development, administration and coordination of the manufacturing and lean policies and practices designed to improve operating performance, reduce waste and delays, improve quality, and otherwise promote cost improvement and process control for all of manufacturing.

• Analyzing data to determine the best solutions for problems
• Manage Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) program
• Developing plans for process improvement efficiency and productivity based on data research
• Manage tooling/tool crib organization
• Other duties as assigned
• Actively participate in the engineer to order process from an equipment capability stand-point
• Responsible for the technical implementation of lean manufacturing
• Implementing new processes or improving existing processes according to CI plans
• Recommendation and implement plant layout efficiencies
• Provide project updates and maintaining accurate records of all process improvement activities
• Improve overall Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Production (SQDIP) metrics
• Assist in CI projects Plans and coordinates projects of major scope and importance
• Design and order new tools/devices
• Provide engineered drawings to the floor
• Capital equipment justifications for performance and product improvement
• Responsible for definition of safe manufacturing practices
• Assist with developing and deploying new procedures to improve productivity
• Provide manufacturing cost savings suggestions; see thru to implementation
• Developing training materials for new processes and procedures, as well as providing support for training events
• Assist with schedule attainment by providing effective communication with toolkit builds and deployment
• Utilize ERP systems to generate reports and update routings
• Coordinate with other departments to implement new processes
