Job Description
Description

Do you love caring for the details of things? Are you skilled at developing professional relationships and at collaboration? Do people say you are an excellent communicator? Are you passionate about investing in the lives of children and families through innovating and improving services and processes? Are you looking to join an energetic and supportive team of professionals whose work is based at home and who enjoy traveling to multiple OHU locations? Then you are just the professional One Hope United is looking for!

What you would be doing (through a home-based work location model):

  • You will identify and establish meaningful outcome measures of program quality within OHU’s Lines of Service, contributing to ongoing improvement
  • You’ll join the CQI team in training others in quality improvement and in trainings around documentation
  • Although home-based, you can expect to travel 2-3 days a week to program offices, purposefully connecting with Hope Members towards developing effective collaboration and communication
  • With the CQI team, you will work to continuously improve the delivery of service to children, youth and families through performing regular reviews
  • You’ll get to help develop and the agency’s quality peer review program every year and to implement them
  • You’ll enjoy growing your knowledge about the Continuous Quality Improvement policy and procedures, accreditation standards, best practices, and contractual requirements of OHU programs
  • You will be OHU’s quality improvement representative at external organizations/meetings
  • Under the direction of a supportive and empowering supervisor, you will enjoy creating quality improvement activities and initiatives within OHU’s Southern Illinois programs that serve children, youth and families

What we expect from you

Education

  • We would love it if you would have a master’s degree in this area, but it is not required
  • You will need to have a BA/BS degree in a social services or related field

Experience

  • Having 5 years of experience in social services or related field is preferred (but not required) as it provides the most effective foundation for doing this quality improvement work

Skills

  • As mentioned before, a keen attention to – and love for! - detail is essential in this role
  • Finding fulfillment in being independent and reliable in your work
  • An openness and ease in communication, being able to self-initiate and maintain connections with Hope Members at various OHU locations

Certification

  • Also, please note that a Qualified Mental Health Professional certification would put you far ahead of the game as this knowledge base would equip you to effectively serve many of our programs

In Addition

  • You will also need to have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record with OHU required levels of coverage for auto insurance (50/100/50)

What You Can Expect From Us

  • Undoubtedly, you would love in the CQI teams’ development of team activities that celebrate each other’s work (for example, quarterly “Winning Wednesdays”)
  • They also are careful to create a true team environment that would create a supportive environment for your work
  • You would find that the CQI team leaders prides themselves on providing robust training and supervision when you start in your new role
  • You would receive supportive and empowering supervision from a seasoned and passionate team of OHU professionals
  • However, you will have regular opportunity to travel independently and of course will be reimbursed for mileage when you drive your own car (rental cars are used when possible)
  • As all members of OHU’s quality improvement team do, you will find your work to provide an empowering atmosphere through ongoing self-initiated daily work, a skill set that goes a long way towards future professional development opportunities
  • Flexibility will be built into your work schedule because of your job being based out of your home
  • You would be part of a team that engages with all parts of OHU’s mission
  • And perhaps most of all, you would experience a keen sense of fulfillment in highlighting employee achievements and in educating them, helping them grow in this important work

You’ll find that Hope Members receive a full array of benefits:

  • Up to 4 weeks paid vacation days; up to 6 paid personal days and up to 5 paid sick days annually
  • Voluntary Supplemental Life for Employee, Spouse and Child(ren)
  • Agency paid life up to $50K based on salary
  • Agency paid long-term disability after a year of employment
  • Voluntary Legal Plans
  • Tuition assistance up to $2500 per year
  • Medical, dental, vision, 403b retirement, flexible spending accounts, short-term disability options
