APS-03: Quality / Continuous Improvement Internal AuditorKBR Government Solutions delivers full life cycle professional and technical solutions that improve operational readiness and drive innovation. The Quality / Continuous Improvement Internal Auditor will:
- Work with process owners to develop risk-based analysis of operations and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist in documenting and revising technical work processes (SOP’s, WI, Forms, Process Maps).
- Assist teams in Root Cause Analysis utilizing 5-Why and Fishbone methodologies.
- Provide support in the operation of the organization's ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Assist in the timely execution of internal audits of processes and procedures to determine CI opportunities.
- Assist with Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.
- Identify, report and coach safety and the importance of Zero Harm.
- Perform verification of corrective and preventive actions.
- Work to resolve or assist in the resolution of ISO 9001 QMS related issues.
- Report to the Continuous Improvement Lead / Lead Auditor.
- Coach and motivate team members and auditees.
- Interface regularly with employees and management on issues related to processes, continual improvement and process identified deficiencies.
- Assist in the development of Value Stream Maps for APS-03 operations, identifying process interactions, inputs and outputs.
- Perform scheduled audits in accordance with the internal audit plan, ensuring that audited processes comply with associated documentation, applicable standards, regulations, and customer requirements and that resulting audit reports are fair, impartial, and beneficial.
- Enhance communication by facilitating team meetings.
- Conduct internal audits of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Process Flows (including maintenance, logistics, quality, safety, environmental and security programs) at the direction of the Quality Manager.
- Work with the CI Lead to recommend and implement changes to the program, work methods and procedures that will result in process improvements, increased efficiencies, and cost savings.
- Develop audit plans and interacts with functional areas to perform audits in a timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have excellent interpersonal and written skills.
- Must be able to pass a base background check and obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Requires advanced MS Office skills.
- Must have documented experience in an ISO 9001:2015 environment or similar quality management system.
- Requires an Associate’s Degree or at least two years of post-high school education in a business, management or quality field of study (this requirement may be offset by five years of previous on the job experience in any quality, business, management or continuous improvement program).
- Requires a minimum of high school diploma with documented evidence of five years’ experience in auditing quality management systems and participation in continuous improvement activities.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Requires a minimum of high school diploma with documented evidence of five years’ experience in auditing quality management systems and participation in continuous improvement activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current ISO 9001:2015 auditor certification.
- Lean Six Sigma White, Yellow or Green Belt.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to Lift - up to 35 lbs. – 50 lbs. periodically.
- Must be able to walk - between 4 to 5 hours per day.
- Must be able to squat, knell, bend, reach and climb periodically.
- Must be able to work outside and inside in non-climate-controlled environments.
- Must be able to stand - between 2 to 3 hours per day.
