A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.

Proficiency in uncovering opportunities for knowledge transfer of operational excellence and innovative technologies across various manufacturing sites.

Job Title: Quality Engineer/Continuous Improvement (No Remote)

Complies with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures and housekeeping standards.

Participate in Advanced Quality Planning activities.

Provide technical and administrative support as needed.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field.

Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills through leading meetings, facilitating meetings, and preparing written communications.

Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred.

2-4 years of manufacturing experience, food, beverage, or baking experience preferred.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Develop SOPs for new automation equipment.

Experience with implementing automation in an assembly process a plus.

Lean Six Sigma experience is required. Black Belt Certification is preferred.

3-5 years of industrial manufacturing experience, TPM implementation, and continuous improvement project experience are required.

Experience leading technical resources to successfully maintain production line equipment to achieve high levels of productivity.

Must possess strong financial control skills to support plant efforts in successful cost and capital planning performance.

Multi-task and handle multiple problems without routine management supervision

Devises sampling procedures to confirm Critical To Function (CTF) requirements are documented, specifications are met and process control is sustained.

Responsible for managing site qualifications and specified projects, communicating results throughout the organization

Establishes and maintains good relationships with customers by visiting customer plants for qualification of new materials, quality concerns, and periodic meetings.

Develops work instructions for relevant job tasks associated with products, processes, and testing requirements.

Minimum 1-3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment

Effective time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at once

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience)

Demonstrated knowledge of Lean concepts and principles

Strong problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, cause prevention, etc.)

Ability to adapt to and manage changes in priorities and directions as needed

Confer with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Operations, Business Management, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and Food Science preferred

Project Management: ability to organize and manage multiple products through manufacturing process.

Continuous analysis of plant staffing, resources and capital requirements to meet or exceed Production standards and goals.

Manage the successful transition of new products and technology into the production arena.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Works with the CI Managers/Coordinators from other sites as well as the corporate headquarters to share best practices across sites

3 years of experience in lean manufacturing

Certification in Lean manufacturing preferred

Professional certifications and/or experience especially helpful in the field of; Lean, 6-Sigma Green Belt and Change Management.

Project management capability with effective time management skills and ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities

Consult with Regional and other OPEX Managers to identify best practices and to simplify and standardize work to deliver improved performance.

Knowledge of production operations either in a food processing or other manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and implement organizational and cultural change and deliver results

Be a recognized role model in key leadership development skills of feedback, coaching, listening, empowerment, and difficult conversations

Advanced Working knowledge of lean techniques including Black Belt and/or Lean Certifications
