Job Overview
The Transportation Operations Manager is responsible for Purchased Transportation Operations within the Warehouse Direct and Beverage Concentrate business units. This person will be responsible for cost, service, capacity, process improvement, and productivity initiatives. Critical portion of responsibility is exceeding expectations of internal and external customers, while partnering with key suppliers (outside carriers and Third-Party Logistics Provider) to achieve results. Critical team member for high-volume, large spend Transportation operation.
Position will work in a Hybrid capacity out of our Brand New Corporate HQ at the Star in Frisco, TX!
Position Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple modes of Transportation (one-way truckload, LTL, Intermodal)
• Active participant and contributor to Network Optimization and optimization strategies
• Lead strategic projects, key promotional activity, and cost and service initiatives
• Manage interactions and partnerships with customers and stakeholders including Manufacturing, Warehouses, Customer Service and Planning, Co-Packing team, and KDP Suppliers
• Develop close partnership with internal teams to effectively respond and support business needs
• Collaborate and lead Third Party Logistics partner in order to maximize service and minimize cost
• Active involvement in carrier management and procurement
• Develop and Maintain Cost and Service Metrics
• Increase Prime Tender Acceptance levels (manage carrier capacity at right cost and at needed service levels)
• Meet and/or exceed annual budget expectations
• Continuous reduction of customer fines and deductions
• Continuous Improvement in Cost, Service, Processes, and Service
• Operational and P&L accountability for Warehouse Direct (WD) and Beverage Concentrate (BC) purchased Transportation Operations.
• Reduce time and inefficiencies within daily operational processes
• Identify cost-out opportunities within the function and through cross-functional collaboration within the Supply Chain
• Leverage data analytics and lean processes
• KDP lead for WD and BC Transport Operations, subject matter expert for daily operations
• Ensure Transport Operations perform services consistent with consignee needs
• Increase Transportation service levels to internal and external customers

Requirements

• TMS proficiency preferred
• High level of Excel proficiency required
• 5+ years of experience in Transportation and Distribution and/or Supply Chain roles where you were successful in driving improved service, reducing cost, leading productivity initiatives, and managing 3rd party vendors
• Proven acumen for data analytics
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years of people management and development experience
