Job Description

Job Title: Procurement Manager


Location: Southwest Houston, TX (4 days a week onsite, 1 day a week remote)


Summary:

The Procurement Manager will drive procurement strategy and process development for direct materials. The role involves developing strategic business relationships domestically and globally, ensuring total cost efficiency, security of supply, and process improvements. The Procurement Manager will integrate best practices across multiple functions and teams, while also driving process and compliance initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategy for direct material categories
  • Select suppliers and negotiate favorable pricing
  • Travel up to 10%
  • Ensure security of supply and total cost improvements
  • Drive process improvements and integrate best practices
  • Collaborate with various departments to achieve cost efficiency and supplier innovation


Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and SAP/ERP
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or related business field
  • 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably with chemical commodities/categories
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
