We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee the integration of West and East, located in PDX and Freedom, PA, respectively. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing a team and implementing process improvements within a production or manufacturing environment. They will play a critical role in bringing the department to an efficient working level using the Just in Time method of production, with a strong focus on Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and effective communication between departments.
• Develop and implement strategies to integrate purchasing agreements and operational processes
• Lead and manage a team of four direct reports, with three based in the East office and one in the West office.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness within the department.
• Utilize the Just in Time method of production to optimize efficiency and minimize waste across the department.
• Monitor departmental performance metrics, analyze data, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to encourage teamwork and employee engagement.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Apply Six Sigma and Kaizen principles to identify process bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Adaptability to work in a dynamic and changing environment, handling multiple priorities effectively.
• Proven experience in managing teams, with a track record of leading successful process improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of Just in Time production methodology, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational challenges.
• Willingness to relocate to either PDX or Freedom, PA, or already living in one of the locations.
• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with a laid-back approach to inspire and motivate team members.
• Strong understanding of production or manufacturing processes, ideally within a similar industry.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position ranges from $105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Offers profit-sharing bonuses annually, ranging from 3% to 10% based on company performance. Additionally, the company provides some relocation assistance for eligible candidates.
