Description


The Manager, Process Optimization oversees the execution of tactics and initiatives that support company strategy and continuous retail excellence. This role will partner with store leaders and corporate stakeholders to define and implement policy, procedure and processes that optimize retail operations and deliver seamless execution of operational initiatives. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Retail Operations.


Responsibilities & Duties


  • Sustains process improvements through measuring success metrics and monitoring store execution.
  • Creates and maintains policy, procedure, and process documentation
  • Obtains stakeholder alignment to ensure sponsorship and advocacy of the processes
  • Develops proper resources to facilitate behavior and process change
  • Approximately 25% of work time is physical time in an NMG store
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to develop the operational strategy to simplify processes
  • Promotes a customer centric culture of results-oriented performance in stores and through corporate cross functional relationships
  • Manages multiple projects by defining scope of work, project objectives, deliverables, milestones, and timelines
  • Serve as a stores expert to consult and advise stakeholders in the development and execution of initiatives that have store impact or consequence
  • Builds and leads implementation plan of process improvement initiatives
  • Develops behavior change and process improvement programs in Neiman Marcus stores by evaluating and determining change and improvement needs


Qualifications


  • Travel Requirement up to 25%
  • Strong ability to successfully interface with all levels and areas of the organization, establish close working relationships, and build consensus and support for improvement opportunities
  • Strong in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Adept at identifying operational improvement opportunities and working with others to generate and implement creative solutions
  • 4-6 years of store operations experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; strong facilitation, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are required
  • 4-year degree preferred
  • History of driving results and performance
  • Articulates successful response to challenging situations utilizing available data and knowledge while considering alternative solutions
  • 2+ years of stores / field leadership experience
  • Strong ability to influence without authority and drive change across multiple functions in a dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments at once and shift work based on business needs Passion and ability to work in a retail store environment on a frequent basis
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean practices, and change management principles
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement mindset
