Since 1854, the innovation and creativity of Louis Vuitton’s expert craftsmanship has been passed from generation to generation. Louis Vuitton U.S. Manufacturing (LVUSM) is a part of this rich history and tradition, and proudly operates workshops in California and Texas.
Our new Texas workshop is seeking a project-oriented, and customer-focused Process Engineer, to join our growing team. As a pivotal member of the Industrialization team, reporting to the Industrialization Manager, you will be responsible for tool design, manufacturing, and validation to support production needs. You will work collaboratively in process improvements and new product development to ensure our manufacturing processes cater to meet our client needs according to the Louis Vuitton promise. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Define the right workstation organization taking into consideration ergonomics and safety to ensure the highest standards of quality while ensuring a safe work environment.
- Keep abreast of all new processes and technology developments i.e.: tools, machinery, and other equipment related to our manufacturing environment.
- Identify processes and related parameters for the manufacturing of leather goods based on material and quality specifications.
- Perform benchmarking to identify the best suitable technologies and systems for equipment, tools, and fixtures for new or existing product or process changes.
- Provide direct, technical support to production and assists with all manufacturing and quality-related issues.
- Set-up machinery according to the parameters defined.
- Responsible for leading the recommendations and decision-making regarding equipment needs/selection and capital investment, calculating Return on Investment (ROI).
- Ensure the safety guidelines are followed.
- Lead new product introductions per schedule and ensure a smooth transition into manufacturing while meeting established operational, quality, cost, service, and safety metrics.
- Work cross-functionally with Product Development, Production, Maintenance, and other departments throughout the workshop in the U.S. and Europe.

PROFIL
- Demonstrated ability to effectively assist production floor personnel in resolving technical issues
- Possess good judgment as it relates to creative ideas with the ability to manage the creative process with others
- As an innovative leader, have initiative and excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects of varying complexity
- 3+ year’s relevant manufacturing experience in a Lean Manufacturing Environment
- Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Process, Textiles)
- Experience with 3D printing and tool design
- Bilingual skills in Spanish and/or French is a plus.
