This position is full-time Tuesday-Saturday.
Saturday availability is a MUST for this position.
We are looking for someone with a deep appreciation and understanding of the importance of eating locally and organically sourced foods and our community from which it's derived. Being well informed about products, farms, vendors, and Community Roots Market’s mission is essential.
Job Responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:
- Provide excellent customer service and communication
- Maintain and adjust operations to stay within budgets and make changes necessary to sustain the projected profit margin of reach quarter
- Promote and participate in our community events, including wine tastings, book club, and run club meetings
- Daily marketing strategies and social media posts
- Consistent and appropriate communication with local farmers and community
- Consistent communication with owner
- Restock inventory throughout the day
- Follow all alcohol sales guidelines and keep daily incident log accordingly
- Follow all food and health safety guidelines and keep daily incident log accordingly
- Keep market, and all areas including restrooms, neat, tidy, and safe
- Any other operations related activities as determined by owner
Experience/Qualifications:
- Experience as a manager in a retail setting
- Experience in agriculture, food service, and/or retail preferred
- Candidates with a knowledge of food/cooking, wine, gardening/farming, and wellness will best excel at, and enjoy, this position
- Ability to demonstrate marketing/PR strategies that align with current trends and our mission

COMPENSATION
This position is : salary $35-48,000/yr with benefits and other perks
Pay is contingent on experience.
