Position Information

Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The School of Government (School) works to improve the lives of North Carolinians by engaging in practical scholarship that helps public officials and citizens understand and improve state and local government. The Environmental Finance Center (EFC) at the School works to enhance the ability of governments and other organizations to provide environmental programs and services in effective and financially sustainable ways. The EFC reaches local communities through interactive training and technical assistance. In addition, the EFC works with decision-makers to assess and improve environmental finance policies at a regional or state level.

Position Summary
In support of our mission, the E)nvironmental F)inance C)enter seeks to hire an hourly Project Manager to:
Conduct research and analysis on a variety of environmental finance topics
Lead webinars and workshops
Produce reports, short resource documents, and blogs geared to non-academic audiences.

The Project Manager will report to the Associate Director. The work of the EFC is primarily funded through grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, and other awards. The position is contingent upon the continuity of EFC funding. Previous experience with environmental finance content is not required, but strongly preferred.
