INVISTA’s Performance Materials business is currently seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Account Manager - Fibers. This position will be in the greater Atlanta, GA area (candidate specific relocation packages available). INVISTA is continually looking to create long term value by embracing new technology and transforming how work is accomplished to create superior value for the customer by solving their unmet needs.


This position is primarily responsible for account management, sales growth, and market development for INVISTA’s Cordura ® Business, primarily the filament sector. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing strategic account plans, call plans, understanding value-in-use of our products, and forming project teams to execute growth initiatives and maximize sales and profitability for the North American (NA) Business.


What You Will Do


  • Lead cross functional product development teams to address opportunities at customers.
  • Drive growth by capturing insights and developing problem statements to update market points of view and understanding market value dynamics.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the competitive landscape including direct and indirect competition.
  • Retention and expansion of accounts through the development of strong relationships with key decision makers and users within an organization.
  • Work with a sense of curiosity and creativity to identify opportunity and to deliver results.
  • Manage relationships and interfaces on suitability, service, and quality between INVISTA and customers.
  • Work closely with the NA and Regional Business Directors, New Business Development, Technical Marketing, End-use Applications Engineering, and key Plant Personnel to ensure comprehensive understanding of target accounts both domestically and globally.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve profitability of accounts leveraging economic thinking.
  • Provide direct account management and resource coordination.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • Experience in MS Office Software, specifically Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
  • Experience in sales of technical fibers and/or technical fiber applications, such as fabrics
  • Experience negotiating prices with customers
  • Ability to travel 20-40%, including overnight travel
