Expediting Manager Jobs

The Expediting Manager position is a direct-hire role providing support to a specialty chemical manufacturer in the Riceboro, GA. area.

An Expediting Manager has responsibility to direct, coordinate and maintain the effectiveness of all expediting functions and services to ensure timely delivery of materials to projects, and to manage all personnel activities in support of these operations. To develop the resources in order to meet projected workload.

Expediting Manager Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain the effectiveness of status reporting for all assigned projects and participate in promptly resolving any contractual dispute vendors in company's premises where appropriate, or at vendors location.
• Coordinate and supervise the evaluation of vendors performance in collaboration with the relevant procurement managers and participate in the formalities for inclusion, retention, upgrade or deletion of vendors from master vendor list.
• Direct and coordinate all expediting activities from release of purchase orders to final payment of vendors invoices. Manage payment of vendors invoices to ensure their continuity.
• Provide regular progress updates, highlighting variances from the baseline; recommend and implement corrective actions that mitigate potential delays or progress slippage
• Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the developing alternate methods for corrective action.
• Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis on a periodic basis.
• Direct and control the selection, performance, training and development of all Expediting personnel.
• Assist in the development of project procurement plan and other associated documentation required as part of project execution plan.
• Represent the expediting department in management meetings.
• Liaise with Project Managers, and other departmental managers to resolve any technical or administrative challenges and improve the performance of the expediting department.
• Develop, maintain and implement expediting procedures, policies, plans, and manage all personnel activities in support of these activities.

Qualifications

Expediting Manager Job Requirements:

• Candidates must be able to commute to the Riceboro, GA. area on a daily basis.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills, good interpersonal, and the ability to multi-task.
• 1 to 2 years of work experience in a similar role.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office Software Applications.
• Good communication skills (verbal & written) in correspondence with vendors, customers, managers, etc.
• Highly motivated and detail-oriented.
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain is required.
• Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and work ethic of seeking continual improvement.
