Manager, Finance - Remote Available

Position Purpose: As part of the Illinois Health Plan finance team, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the overall forecasting of our P&L (P&L consists of Membership, Revenue, Medical Expenses and G&A (Administrative) costs)and will oversee 3 Financial Analysts.

• Develop a thorough understanding of healthcare practices and procedures
• Responsible for the overall forecasting of our P&L and will manage (3) Financial Analysts. P&L consists of Membership, Revenue, Medical Expenses and G&A (Administrative) costs.
• Provide financial and business analysis as required. Determine appropriate actions and present to upper management
• Produce and analyze complex financial and statistical reports
• Ensure that timely and accurate reports are generated
• Gather and prepare analysis based on information from various sources and financial reports
• Generate and review ad-hoc reports related to quality, cost and effectiveness of healthcare services

Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience, with emphasis in the health care or insurance industry. Management experience required. Must be proficient in Excel modeling as well as knowledgeable in trend analysis.
