Summary

As the first full time Finance hire, this role will partner with the CEO and other department leads to bring better visibility into the company’s financials. You will lead modeling, forecasting, and budgeting; while partnering with accounting and function leads to bring better financial discipline across Devsisters. This is a unique opportunity to help pave the way for the function, while partnering with our international parent company that will help support and shape the trajectory of the company.

Responsibilities

• Create monthly reporting files to understand performance against plan
• Build and update the company’s budget (consolidated & by function)
• Provide support and analysis to company leadership, build presentation materials when needed, and identify/update KPIs across the business
• Partner with third party accountants to clean up and maintain the financials, owning the monthly close process across the company.
• Own the company’s three statement model and build short-term and long-term forecasts
• Be a sounding board to the CEO and rest of the team

You Have

• 1-3 years of investment banking or consulting experience
• Experience in gaming, entertainment, IP licensing, or tech is a plus
• BS in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; MBA is a plus
• 5+ years finance and accounting experience
• 2-4 years experience owning P&L top to bottom (from top line revenue down to profitability)
• 1-3 years at a growing start up preferred
• A roll-up your sleeves mindset, curiosity, and ability to partner across all functions (Business Development, Marketing, Creative, etc.)
• Strong modeling skills and understanding of how interpreting the financials into action

For this full-time position in San Mateo, CA, the base salary range is $100,000 - $130,000. This range is specific to the onsite/hybrid role in the Bay Area and does not apply to locations outside of the region. Our salary structure considers various factors such as role, level, location, and individual skills, experience, and education. In addition to competitive base pay, you may also be eligible for stock options and incentive compensation, although this is not guaranteed.
