Our HubSpot People Operations team prides itself on our innovative and flexible approach to HR, and we are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team as a Leave Administrator on our Core HR team. In this role, you will Independently own and administer the leave of absence (LOA) and accommodation process and provide additional HR support such as identifying process improvements, managing incoming HR inbox requests, data collection and analysis, compliance, and employee relations - in a way that may not be traditional to HR but embraces our unique culture and solves for our rapid business growth. - Proactively audit and update HRIS (Workday) data to ensure data integrity and cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with company process, local, state, and federal regulations
- Evaluate and innovate HubSpot LOA processes to create and scale a seamless leave experience
- Own and manage the LOA and Accommodation inboxes
- Determine leave qualifications & eligibility and coordinate appropriate corresponding documentation
- Maintain records of leave and accommodation paperwork in our HRIS in accordance with best practices.
- Manage all leave of absence for the entire leave cycle (leave notice through return to work) while working closely and maintaining regular communication with employees and stakeholders such as managers and HRBPs
- Positively collaborate across peer groups - specifically individuals within Payroll, Benefits, Legal, HR Business Partners and our Workday Team to optimize processes
- Have 2+ years of experience managing US Leave of Absence programs
- Demonstrate understanding of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and federal laws and regulations for the USA, and the equivalent for Canada
- Have a basic understanding of US employment law
- Are a proactive and innovative problem solver
- Are process and detail-oriented
- Have the ability to exercise sound and efficient judgment when managing complex decisions
- Are effective communicators and natural relationship builder who can collaborate with and influence a variety of work styles and personalities
- Have the ability to work with a high level of confidentiality and discretion
