Job Description
Included Health is seeking a knowledgeable Leave and Benefits Specialist to be a part of the Talent and Organization (TAO) team. This role will own management of our generous Leave of Absence program, provide guidance to the business related to the interpretation of ADA, and administration of our benefits offerings.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for connecting with our team members as they prepare for their upcoming leave. They should have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to balance empathy while enforcing our leave policies. They will also be responsible for the administration of our Included Health benefits program so they should have strong Excel skill as well as sharp attention to detail.


Duties/Responsibilities


Leave of Absence and ADA


  • Manage the full cycle leave process including communication with the employee, dedicated Talent Partner/ HRBP and Manager
  • Partner with Workday team to periodically review and update processes for efficiency and automation
  • Manage tickets through JIRA ticketing system and meet SLA’s with employee questions and concerns
  • Act as the Leave of Absence subject matter expert guiding employees and their managers through the leave process
  • Consult with mangers, employees, and Talent Partners on matters related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and workers compensation as the subject matter expert
  • Work closely with employees and external vendors to process and administer all leave of absence requests
  • Partner with the Payroll team to ensure accurate payments to those on a leave of absence
  • Provide regular analytics and reporting to the TAO Leadership team related to ongoing leaves and trends


Benefits Administration


  • Ensure the accuracy of benefit enrollments in both Workday and our vendor platforms
  • Partner with the Accounting team for accurate and timely billing processing
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting and analytics on benefits program as needed
  • Assist with new hire orientation as needed
  • Ownership of 401(k) administration to include day to day administration, testing, and compliance


Required Skills/Abilities


  • Knowledge and previous experience with Workday a strong plus
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong ability to organize, keep track of details and produce results in an fast-paced environment
  • At least 4 years of related experience
  • Ability to make independent decisions in complex situations
  • Extensive knowledge employee benefits and applicable laws - including FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation and Retirement plans
  • Ability to keep information confidential and handle sensitive issues with empathy and strong judgment
  • Keen attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
