Overview Benefits and Leave Specialists are responsible for administering employee benefits and leave programs. They ensure that all benefits and leave programs are compliant with applicable laws and regulations, and that employees are aware of their rights and responsibilities. They also provide guidance and advice to employees and managers on benefits and leave policies and procedures. Detailed Job Description Benefits and Leave Specialists are responsible for managing employee benefits and leave programs. They review and analyze existing benefits and leave programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. They also develop and implement new benefits and leave programs as needed. Benefits and Leave Specialists provide guidance and advice to employees and managers on benefits and leave policies and procedures. They also monitor and track employee benefits and leave usage, and ensure that employees are aware of their rights and responsibilities. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employee benefits and leave
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret data
• Ability to develop and implement new benefits and leave programs
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in benefits and leave administration
• Professional certification in benefits and leave administration (e.g. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employee benefits and leave
• Knowledge of benefits and leave policies and procedures
• Knowledge of employee benefits and leave programs
• Knowledge of employee benefits and leave software
Job Experience
• At least 3 years of experience in benefits and leave administration
• Experience in developing and implementing new benefits and leave programs
• Experience in monitoring and tracking employee benefits and leave usage
Job Responsibilities
• Review and analyze existing benefits and leave programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Develop and implement new benefits and leave programs as needed
• Provide guidance and advice to employees and managers on benefits and leave policies and procedures
