Job Description
Part-Time Learning Experience Lead

  • 1099 Project Based to start, with potential to turn into a full-time role
  • Average Hours: 5-10/wk
  • Location: 100% Remote
  • Hourly Rate: $20-$25/hr - as company continues to grow and thrive this will be re-evaluated

This role has the potential to grow into a full-time position & is great for someone who is looking to get in on the ground floor of a new launch.

About Us: We are an innovative platform that gamifies spelling practice for young learners. We seamlessly integrate into students' existing workflows for Google Docs and classroom, providing a fun and effective way to accelerate spelling and reading skills. As a self-funded startup, we are committed to creating a positive impact in education while providing an engaging experience for our users.

We are looking for somebody to help me manage general business functions, the overall project, and miscellaneous tasks. The person ideally would have a background in teaching, curriculum design, or engagements as a salesperson for elementary schools (2nd to 5th grade). The perfect candidate would have a great personality and be able to make zoom calls and present our product to potential teachers and schools. They would also ideally have a huge skill set, everything from project management, to building out assets, to understanding budgeting cycles in schools. Even more ideal if they work for early stage software startup companies whose customers were (B2C) parents or (B2B) teachers/school/districts.

The ideal candidate could become my right hand person for launch and help (or even lead) running it once it's up and going. We are targeting a mid-September initial launch, with marketing starting earlier than that. We're currently finishing out the product and are doing user testing with teachers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in weekly planning discussions.
  • Coordinate beta program interactions with schools, including creating necessary materials to support full class / school engagements.
  • Oversee teacher outreach, consultations and engagements.
  • Explore potential markets, such as homeschooling (likely future state).
  • Manage project timelines and product roadmaps, collaborating with a VA for efficiency.

Immediate Tasks

  • Spearhead launch planning, teacher/school beta testing coordination, and ensure alignment between different team members including the dev team and part time marketing person.
  • Offer insights on enhancing games and features for users.
  • Assess and prioritize feedback from user tests and work with a fractional CTO to organize engagement with devs.
  • Familiarize yourself with current software offerings and upcoming features.
  • Collaborate with founder on scheduling; we can use a VA to assist in project management and keeping tasks and execution priorities top of mind.
