Job Description

US Tech Solutions is seeking a “Learning and Development Specialist". This is 5 months of contract with one of our direct client.


Job Details:

Job Title: Learning and Development Specialist IV

Location: Menlo Park, CA

Duration: 5 months contract

Pay range: $55-60/hr. on W2 without benefits.


:

  • The ideal candidate will be strong at cross-functional communication, project execution, knowledgeable about event design & production, have experience with executing leadership program experiences, and have a keen eye for identifying and scaling processes and workflow opportunities.
  • They will be responsible for architecting and implementing live Development learning events and experiences, setting, and measuring goals, and driving accountability with cross-functional partners and vendors.


URP Development Specialist Requirements:

  • Partner with People Development, DEI & cross-functional partners to execute Development strategy.
  • Ensure progress on priority work-streams and program deliverables.
  • Engage with partners and cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, and coordination areas, to deliver high-quality large-audience live learning experiences and pre- and post-event community learning strategies.
  • This position is hands-on working closely with the existing DEI Talent & Learning team within People Development and cross-functional partners, and will support program management, end-to-end production, event execution, community learning tactics for pre and post experiences, analysis and reporting of event goals. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Influence & drive alignment across a wide stakeholder base
  • Partner with Legal, Sourcing, Security, Facilities, Event, and external vendor teams to align on ongoing Development program needs.
  • Develop and manage dynamic project plans and logistics schedules while applying a systems-thinking approach to successfully deliver high quality, live learning experiences for Director-level & above leader audiences across the DEI Talent & Learning portfolio.
  • Provide virtual or on-site event support, registration management and other duties assigned, as necessary.
  • Execute measurement strategies in partnership with Tech & Data partners to assess efficacy of programs including reporting and delivering insights to identify impact & needed improvements.
  • Drive technical excellence within the team, coordinating and contributing to project management practices, team road maps, workflow development, launch criteria, and test plans.
  • Manage evolving priorities and drive through ambiguity while being dynamic and flexible to business needs and/or shifts in event direction.
  • Work closely across People Development teams to maintain alignment, mitigating risks and ensuring resource gaps are addressed efficiently to ensure flawless execution.
  • Communicate and liaise effectively with key stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and vendors.
  • Manage multiple, complex timetables successfully in a collaborative and extremely fast paced environment.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines, while managing several priorities & programs simultaneously
  • Experience leading across a wide stakeholder base to execute, optimize, and measure learning events & initiatives.
  • Thrive on teamwork and creatively overcoming obstacles.
  • Ability to build relationships, trust, and foster collaboration across various levels of the organization in a highly cross-functional, global team environment.
  • Ability to assess and prioritize workload in a strict deadline-oriented environment.
  • Track record of exercising independent judgment and discretion while utilizing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action when working with escalations or identifying risks.
  • Desire to consistently innovate and enhance programs, bringing new ideas to the table.
  • 3+ years’ experience in program or project management (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience managing a variety of event formats, from instructor-led facilitated workshops to exclusive closed-door executive events.
  • Understanding of the key drivers of successful event execution in digital, physical, and hybrid mediums including broadcast experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a large, fast-moving technology company, working in a global, matrixed setting.
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse internal communities.
  • Expertise in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, manager, and leader development program design & development
  • Experience managing & implementing events & initiatives for executive-level leaders.
  • Extensive experience working with production partners in a creative capacity.
