What We Expect:
The Learning & Development Manager coordinates and organizes a range of development activities that contribute to the attainment of the Company’s clearly prescribed performance standards and Hotel Goals. The Learning Manager must systematically analyze the Hotels training needs and deliver relevant learning, plan and coordinate the production of Departmental Training Plans, act as an internal consultant to Heads of Departments on department related training issues, source and recommend appropriate external training organizations or resources, maintain a current knowledge of statutory requirements and develop creative and innovative training programs.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Occasional travel is required to other Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts for training and development purposes.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Comply with Four Seasons Category One and Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in Empact.
- Ensures all departments have turned in all paperwork for the accountability chart each month.
- Acts as an objective third party in counseling, problem solving or conflict situations where learning issues are involved.
- Coordinator different orientations and workshops for employees such as STEPS, New Manager Orientation, Designated Trainers, Glitcholigy etc.
- Complete other tasks and assignments assigned by the Director of Human Resources or other Management.
- Ensures employees are receiving the proper training and meeting standards by developing training ideas, being involved in the operation, LQA break down, Embark and Foundations training.
- Actively solicits feedback from management on which learning programs are needed and the optimal time to schedule such programs or initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- The ability to have strong communication skills among employees, managers and co-workers.
- Two to five years previous employment in a related position. Human Resources or Hospitality Education is preferable, however, not essential if applicants have previous relevant work experience
- The ability to multi-task on several tasks at once.
- Previous luxury hotel experience working in the operation
- College degree required

- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
